Violeta Frimu-Patel has an MA in Participation, Power and Social Change and is the co-founder of Partners in Facilitation and Participation, which promotes participation, collaboration, social learning and group work in Moldova and beyond. She specializes in the design and facilitation of processes for group dialogues, using highly participatory methods. She managed the Community and Organizational Development Programme for PeaceCorps Moldova. At various stages of her working life, Violeta has worked with young people and adults in Moldova, India, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Russia, Ukraine, UK and Switzerland, on such topics as civic engagement and participation, strategic planning, project design and management, values-based leadership, intercultural skills, community development and facilitation skills. Her encounter with the ideas of IofC – particularly the importance of values and of quiet reflection – has played a significant role in her life choices.
