The Caux Palace
Overlooking the Leman, above the city of Montreux, just 1h20 from Geneva, the Caux Palace and Villa Maria offer an inspiring and extraordinary setting for your meetings and workshops, conferences, cultural events, and retreats.
Your event in Caux
With over 75 years of experience in designing and hosting events at the Caux Palace and Villa Maria, our hospitality team are here to tailor your event to the specific needs, objectives and budgets of your organization.
Our strategic partnership with the Swiss Hotel Management School, involving the partial lease of the Caux Palace, plays a vital role in sustaining the buildings upkeep. Consequently, we operate two models of hospitality services:
Throughout the year we host groups of up to 35 participants in the Caux Palace and Villa Maria. Arrangements can be made for groups of up to 50 people. We also host day and evening events for up to 350 people.
From mid-June to end of August, the Caux Palace and Villa Maria also offer a unique setting for large events and conferences of up to 350 people, including accommodation for up to 250 people.
The medieval-style main hall and baroque theatre can host up to 385 people. With over 20 separate meeting rooms and spaces, including the historical Salon des Dames, Salon du Pasquier and the Belle Epoque, we can provide a rich array of options for your conferences and meetings.
For accommodation, the Caux Palace centre features over 200 bedrooms with original period furniture, en-suite bathrooms, balconies and lake views.
Our facilities include modern audio-visual systems, including dedicated interpretation booths and equipment allowing us to cater for diverse, international audiences.
Seminars, meetings and retreats
In addition to the many meeting rooms at the Caux Palace, the Villa Maria, conveniently located across the road from the Caux Palace, provides exclusive spaces for your meetings and retreats all year round. These thoughtfully designed areas offer a hassle-free experience, creating a homely, more intimate atmosphere that encourages open discussions. Villa Maria offers privatized dining, comfortable break-out rooms, and a spacious conference room equipped with modern audiovisual facilities and full room-width whiteboards.
Caux Initiatives of Change has a long-standing association with the arts, recognizing the power of artistic expression to promote understanding, reconciliation, and positive social change. For concerts, residencies, exhibitions and theatrical representations, the Caux Palace offers a unique and inspiring venue which is guaranteed to create an unforgettable experience for your audience.
Our dedicated spaces include the 385-seat fully- equipped theatre, the main hall, also equipped with a more informal stage, and the Belle Epoque expo room.
Tailored activities and catering solutions
Our hospitality team can propose a wide array of catering and team building activities tailored to your needs.

Throughout the year, smaller groups can choose between self-service dining, or opt for a catered buffet or table service adapted to their preferences at the Villa Maria.
