Media Coverage Policy for Initiatives of Change Switzerland Events

Initiatives of Change Switzerland welcomes journalists, bloggers, organizations, institutions and individuals who want to cover its events.

Any request to cover Initiatives of Change Switzerland events, including interviews with participants or speakers, should be addressed by email.

Journalists and media outlets who want to cover event must request permission to do so prior to the event. Confidential meetings and community/dialogue group sessions are closed to the media, except with previous agreement from the organizing team of the event concerned and from the Communications Team.

Access to all public events is free.

Independent bloggers and representatives of civil society organizations must register for events in the same way as any other participant. Terms and Conditions apply. 

Any communications for public use should be approved from both the Communications Team and the team organizing the event. Requests should be handed in at least one week before the event.  

Please send your request by filling in the form below one week in advance of the event. 

Communications activities by organizations and institutions partnering with Initiatives of Change Switzerland and/or any of the event organizing teams partnering with Initiatives of Change Switzerland must follow the specific conditions set out in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Specific requests concerning photography and video filming will only be considered in the framework of the partnership. Any decision to authorize media coverage will be taken by the parties who have signed the MOU, following its procedures.

Communications tasks must be agreed by the Caux Forum Communications Team during the process of defining the MOU.

Initiatives of Change Switzerland's events offer a safe space that needs to be respected. Please ask the organizer of the meeting if it is ok to take pictures or screenshots. Screenshots and recordings should be treated like other potentially harassing interpersonal interactions, hence, when one person in the interaction says “stop” or “leave me alone” or words to that effect, the interaction must end. In such case, attendees should not attempt to photograph that individual again. Lastly, the subject may inspect the screenshot/recording at any time and, if requested, the photograph or footage, etc as the case may be must be immediately deleted.

For any request to take photos at events or of the Caux Conference and Seminar Centre premises, please fill in the form below and submit it at least one week before the shooting date.

Participants in online events are not allowed to record sessions. For some sessions a recording will be made available to participants. It will be announced at the beginning of the sessions. 

Any video shooting during the events must be previously authorized by the Communications Team at least one week in advance of the desired shooting date. Those who do not follow this procedure may be asked to leave the event and the Caux Palace premises if relevant.

Any video shooting of the Caux Conference and Seminar Centre premises also requires prior approval.

Some events will have sessions broadcasted live via various platforms, including social media. Initiatives of Change Switzerland holds the sole rights to these broadcasts. 

No other live streaming setups and broadcasts will be allowed.
