Caux Forum Media Coverage Policy
The Caux Forum welcomes journalists, bloggers, organizations, institutions and individuals who want to cover Caux Forum events.
Depending on your role and who you represent, different requirements, terms and conditions will apply.
Any request to cover the Caux Forum, including interviews with participants or speakers, should be addressed by email.

Journalists and media outlets who want to cover the Caux Forum must request a Press Badge, which will grant access to all public activities. Confidential meetings and community group sessions are closed to the media, except with previous agreement from the organizing team of the event concerned and from the Caux Forum Communications Team.
Access to all public events is free. Journalists who wish to spend more than a day at the Caux Forum may benefit from a reduced rate for accommodation and food, depending on availability.
Accredited journalists will not be subject to restrictions on photography and video filming.

Independent bloggers and representatives of civil society organizations must register for the Caux Forum in the same way as any other participant. Fees and conditions will apply.
They will not receive a Press Badge.
Photography and video filming will only be allowed by previous authorization from both the Caux Forum Communications Team and the team organizing the event. Requests cannot be processed on the same day as the required photo/video shooting.

Communications activities by organizations and institutions partnering with the Caux Forum and/or any of the event organizing teams partnering with the Caux Forum must follow the specific conditions set out in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Specific requests concerning photography and video filming will only be considered in the framework of the partnership. Any decision to authorize media coverage will be taken by the parties who have signed the MOU, following its procedures.
Communications tasks must be agreed by the Caux Forum Communications Team during the process of defining the MOU.
Only accredited media/journalists in possession of a Press Badge are allowed to take photos without previous authorization during public events.
Participants in the Caux Forum are allowed to take photos with personal, non-professional devices and for personal purposes only, including personal social media accounts.
Participants’ security is a strong priority of the Caux Forum. Participants who do not want to appear in any form of external communication, including social media, will wear a green lanyard. Photographing them is strictly forbidden, even for accredited journalists. The same rules apply to events and meetings which have explicitly stated that social media activities and photo coverage are not allowed.
Volunteers from the Caux Forum Communications Team, who are not professional photographers, cover the main events of each day, with the guidance of the teams organizing the events. A selection of their photos is regularly uploaded to our institutional Flickr account.

For special events, a professional photographer will be engaged by the Caux Forum Communications Team, and these photos are also free to use, with the following credit: © Initiatives of Change | Photo by (Name of Photographer)

The Caux Forum Communications Team records the daily events of the Caux Forum on video. This footage is for exclusive use only and cannot be shared externally.
Any video shooting during the Caux Forum must be previously authorized by the Caux Forum Communications Team at least one week in advance of the desired shooting date. Those who do not follow this procedure may be asked to leave the Caux Forum and the Caux Palace premises.

The Caux Forum main events are broadcasted live via various platforms, including social media. Initiatives of Change Switzerland is holds the sole rights to these broadcasts.
No other live streaming setups and broadcasts will be allowed.
