Programme de Création de la Confiance
Trustbuilding Programme
The Trustbuilding Programme was developed by the Caux Initiatives and Change Foundation in partnership with the PAIRES association, with the support of the Commune de Montreux and the Swiss Confederation.
This programme, facilitated by artist Audrey Cavelius and coach Hamza Ghandour, aims to explore the processes of building trust between people from migrant backgrounds and people familiar with life in Switzerland, thereby strengthening social cohesion between these groups.
It promotes equal participation in cultural life and challenges dominant narratives through inclusive artistic approaches.
What is it about?
Over a period of eight months (January 2026 to summer 2026), a diverse group of 20 people will take part in around seven participatory workshops. The project will explore the mechanisms of trust, self-esteem, and living together, in relation to the personal experiences and historical wounds of the participants, through the expressive power of art and facilitation methods.
The result will be a co-created artwork under the guidance of Audrey Cavelius, and through this work, a set of experiences, practices, and discoveries on building trust (both as an individual and social skill).
Through the co-creation of a work of art, this project aims to have a lasting impact: strengthening social ties, developing interpersonal skills, and fostering creativity in the service of a more inclusive society.
How can I find out more about the project?
The artwork will be disseminated to more than 1,000 people by the participants themselves, as well as during public presentations in Lausanne and Montreux, online, and as part of the Caux Forum 2026 in Caux.
