Join us for a transformative weekend retreat at the Caux Palace in Caux, the historic birthplace of the Creators of Peace initiative and a true home for dialogue, reflection and reconciliation on a global scale. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and the serene atmosphere of the Caux Palace, this gathering offers a unique opportunity to take a break, reconnect and grow.
About the weekend
This weekend retreat invites 15 participants on an immersive journey of reflection, connection and deepening commitment. Through guided conversations and the sharing of personal stories and experiences, we explore how inner transformation fosters outer change within our families, workplaces and communities.
Active for 35 years and in 43 countries, the Creators of Peace initiative runs Peace Circles: small groups of women who meet over a weekend with facilitators to explore what it means to create peace in their hearts, homes and communities. This involves a series of in-depth conversations that strengthen our bonds, build resilience and enhance our capacity to build peace.
- Registration will take place from 15:00 to 16:00 on 23 October 2026.
- The event will begin with a guided tour of the Caux Palace for those interested, followed by the first session at 17:00.
- We will bring the event to a close on 25 October 2026 at around 17:00.
- Please note that the entire event will be held in French.
Who is it for?
This retreat is open to all women, whatever their background or role: mothers, community leaders, working women, retired women, students, artists or simply anyone on a personal journey and committed to peace. No prior experience is required.
The venue: the Caux Palace
A former Belle Époque grand hotel, the Caux Palace overlooks Lake Geneva and the Alps at an altitude of 1,000 metres. Its peaceful setting and rich heritage offer a unique and inspiring space for reflection, discussion and collective exploration, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The Caux Foundation
The Caux Foundation is a private Swiss charitable foundation, owner of the Caux Palace, a centre for dialogue and peacebuilding located in Caux, above Montreux. Its mission is to provide a safe and unique space to inspire, equip and connect individuals, groups and organisations from around the world so that they can engage effectively and innovatively in promoting trust, ethical leadership, a sustainable way of life and human security.
Creators of Peace International
Creators of Peace International is a global women’s movement, active in 43 countries, committed to building trust, strengthening communities and supporting personal transformation. As part of Initiatives of Change (IofC), this network brings women together as equals in safe and caring spaces where every voice counts and is respected.
Founded in 1991 by the Tanzanian leader Anna Abdallah Msekwa, Creators of Peace is based on the belief that peace begins within oneself. Its call to action, ‘create peace wherever we are… what if I am the obstacle?’, continues to inspire and guide the approach of the Peace Circles today.

Your facilitators
This Peace Circle will be facilitated by experienced Creators of Peace facilitators:
SYLVIE MIGNOT (Switzerland)
Sylvie Mignot has been involved with Creators of Peace since 2015, when she took part in her first peace circle. She subsequently trained as a facilitator at Caux in 2016.
From 2017 to 2019, she was appointed international coordinator for Creators of Peace for French-speaking countries. In this role, she took part in a peace circle in Yaoundé, Cameroon, in 2017.
Since 2019, Sylvie has continued her work in Switzerland, where she has facilitated six peace circles between 2019 and 2023, thereby helping to sustain and pass on this approach to dialogue and peace.
ELIANE STALLYBRASS (Switzerland)
Eliane Stallybrass was head of the archives at the Caux Foundation. She helped ensure the smooth running of the summer conferences, launched the Work Weeks in 1986 and was part of the small team – largely made up of volunteers – that produced the book ‘75 Years of Stories’ to mark the Caux Foundation’s 75th anniversary.
SARAH NOBLE (Canada/Switzerland)
Sarah Noble is the Head of Global Engagement, Creative Peacebuilding and Inner Development at the Caux Foundation. She is also co-founder and curator of PeaceTalks, a global storytelling platform dedicated to stories of peace within Interpeace.
Passionate about storytelling as a tool for healing and social change, Sarah believes in its power to address global challenges.
Cost
Participation in the Peace Circle is free of charge, but we ask that you cover the cost of your accommodation and meals in Caux.
